Dollar to Cedi Exchange Rates Today As Cedi Enjoying Endless Fall

The Ghana Cedi is not out of the woods yet with the release of today’s Dollar to Cedi Exchange Rates from banks, Forex bureaus, FinTech companies, and online money transfer service providers. From the rates quoted today, the dollar is likely to sell for GHS17.00 by the end of September.

According to Cedirates.com, the average rate for $1 is GHS16.16 today compared to the GHS15.32 rate three months ago. This means the cedi has depreciated by approximately 5.48% over the past three months.

The DOLLAR is selling at GHs17.00 per the rate quoted by Afriex Money Transfer. Master Card and VISA have quoted $1 to GHS 16.85 and GHS16.84, respectively.

Aboki Forex Bureau is selling a dollar at GHS16.50. With about three months to the end of the year, the rate is projected to favour the dollar further. This has been the case each year the Yuletide draws closer. As businesses import more festive season goods into the country, they demand more of the foreign currency, and as the demand goes up, the price escalates.
