Armed robbers attack and kill one Police officer; two in critical condition

A Police officer is reported dead, two others in critical condition after they were attacked by armed robbers in Kwame Peprakrom in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality of the Central region. This unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday, September 28, 2024

Officers of the Ghana Police Service (GPS) were attacked leading to fatality over the weekend by armed robbers. According to sources, an officer was shot dead by the suspected armed robbers whiles two other officers of the law are currently in critical conditions.

The deceased officer and the two critically inured officers have been were attacked by the robbers at Kwame Peprakrom in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality of the Central region.

The attack on the officers occurred between 12: am and 1:am on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Reports reveal that the criminals launched an attack on the police patrol team resulting in the tragic death of an officer. The deceased was stationed at the Dunkwa Divisional Police Armory. He has only been identified as officer Evans at the time of filing this report.

The two other officers who were injured as a result of the attack are currently receiving treatment at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

Criminal activities remain a threat to safety and security of officers of the law at their line of duty as well as law abiding citizen who get attacked by criminals.
