#FreetheCitizens Democracy Hub Protesters Have Been Remanded Today In An Accra Court After They Were Detained By The Ghana Police During Their Peaceful Demonstration.
These protesters were arrested and detained by the Ghana Police Service during their demonstration over the rise in illegal mining in the nation. These peaceful protesters were taken to an Accra court today after their arrest. Their case have been remanded and adjourned to the October 8th and 11th as they were denied bail.
Several Ghanaians have taken to X formerly, twitter to express their major concerns and dissatisfaction over the ongoing issue and how the government has handled it so far. Most of these netizens have expressed the strong desire for the December polls to be scheduled for tomorrow, as they have had ‘enough’.
Ghanaians eligible to vote who sees not voting on election day as a flex were advised to come out in their numbers to vote as they will need their brains checked if they do not. A lot of cries are being heard as these peaceful protesters were arrested.
