The unions furthered that, the demonstration will, start on October 1, 2024 at the at Kwame Nkrumah Circle (Obra Spot) and proceed to the Ministry of Education.

Below is the full details of the press
We, the undersigned representatives of the Pre-Tertiary Teacher Unions in Ghana, are writing to formally notify the Ghana Police Service of our intention to organize a peaceful demonstration in Accra.
This demonstration is a response to among others, the ongoing non-fulfillment of the Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) signed on 31st May 2024 between our Unions and the Government, represented by the Fair Wages and Salary Commission and all the other Stakeholders.
Despite our repeated appeals, the government has exhibited a heightened level of aloofness and calculated disregard to portions of the agreements made, which has exacerbated the hardships faced by teachers across the country.
The persistent neglect of these portions of the agreements not only undermines the integrity of the bargaining process but also significantly impacts the morale and welfare of our educators.
The demonstration is scheduled to take place on 1st of October, 2024 and will commence at Kwame Nkrumah Circle (Obra Spot) and proceed to the Ministry of Education.
