Tito Jackson confirmed dead at the age of 70. Tito and his brothers visited the memorial of the late Michael Jackson days before his death to thank fans for keeping his brother’s spirit alive. An original member of the Jackson 5, Tito Jackson, has died at the age of 70.
Tito rose to fame together with his siblings Jackie, Marlon, Jermaine and Michael Jackson. The pop megastar, Michael Jackson, was pronounced dead in 2009 due to an overdose of propofol.
The Jackson 5 group had hit songs in the 1970s with ABC, I’ll Be There, I Want You Back, and Blame It On The Boogie being top. Tito Jackson was the third born among the nine Jackson siblings. Tito used to play guitar and provided backing vocals.
Tito Jackson was the last among his siblings to release an album titled ‘Tito Time’ in 2016. Tito was on a tour with his brothers Marlon and Jackie. They played a festival on September 8th in the UK.
The renowned vocalist’s death was announced by his sons, Taryll, TJ and Taj Jackson on social media. His three sons in the 3T group also found fame in the 1990s. “We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken,” they wrote on Instagram. “Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their wellbeing”.
His sons expressed how he will be missed dearly. “He will be missed tremendously. It will forever be ‘Tito Time” for us.”, they added. The 3T group also encouraged the fans to spread what their dad preached about, “Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is ‘Love One Another.’ We love you, Pops.”, they added.
The late Tito Jackson was often tagged as the quietest member of the Jackson 5 group. Tito was once a judge on the BBC show, ‘Just The Two Of US’ in 2006. The Jackson 5 begun from Indiana in 1964. The group was managed by their father, Joe Jackson. The nine Jackson siblings are, Rebbier, LaToya, Janet, Randy, Tito, Michael, Jackie, Marlon, and Jermaine. The Jackson 5 became a popular boy band in the US after having four straight hit singles.
They recorded a whooping 150 million worldwide sales from their four studio albums. The Jackson 5 group, in 1997, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. This made Michael Jackson more popular, as he later left the group in 1984 after his Thriller album hit worldwide.
The late Tito Jackson before his death, played at the Boogietown Festival in Surrey with his siblings. Last Tuesday, they performed a show in Germany. Tito released a Facebook post about the family visiting a memorial for his late brother, Michael Jackson. “Before our show in Munich, my brothers Jackie, Marlon, and I, visited the beautiful memorial dedicated to our beloved brother, Michael Jackson. We’re deeply grateful for this special place that honors not only his memory but also our shared legacy. Thank you for keeping his spirit alive,” he wrote.
