Popular Nollywood Actor Junior Pope Is Dead – More Details

Pope Odonwodo, a well-known Nollywood actor also known as Junior Pope is dead.

His death was confirmed on Wednesday, April 10, by filmmaker Sam Olatunji, who stated that the actor perished along with three others when their boat overturned.

The sad situation occurred when they were on their way to a cinema. Several of his fans are shocked, as the bubbly actor was still his regular self the day before he died.

The actor is notorious for bragging about his wife and children, and he works hard to portray his characters in films. Aside from being a movie star, Junior Pope is also a skit creator, and his videos capture the attention of his followers. His age was 39.

Sam posted a picture of Junior Pope with the caption below:

“Four actors including Jnr Pope fell into Anam River on their way to location and their bodies have been recovered. What a sad day for Nollywood. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Multiple sources confirm this sad development to us.” 

His body was recovered and transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Emma Onyemeziem, the Delta State Chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), verified to Vanguard that the corpse had been deposited in the morgue.
