Four Nigerians Jailed In UK For Forging 2,000 Marriage Documents, According To Several Local And Foreign Reports. These Forging Were To Help Illegal Immigration.According to several reports, four Nigerians have been jailed in the UK for forging 2,000 marriage documents to aid in illegal immigration. Out of the four Nigerians arrested, three are males and the other a female. The arrested individuals are: Adekunle Kabir (54 years), Alade Olarotimi (41 years), Nosimot Mojisola Gbadamosi (31 years), and Abayomi Aderinsoye Shodipo (38 years). These four individuals were sentenced at the Woolwich Crown Court in London.
Per reports from the UK Home Office, these individuals were among an organizes and planned crime network that, for some years now, have facilitated fraudulent applications. It was revealed that from March 2019 to May 2023, have been the length of their fraudulent applications.

These jailed individuals have been targeting their fellow Nigerians, and providing them with fraudulent Nigerian Customary Marriage Certificates (NCMC). In addition, they have provided counterfeit documents to help their fellow Nigerians and some individuals reside in the UK unlawfully.
Shodipo, who was from Manchester, was convicted of conspiracy to help illegal entry into the United Kingdom (UK) alongside with Onifade (from Gravesend in Kent). They both were charged of the conspiracy to provide counterfeit documents to their clients. Shodipo and Onifade were sentenced to five and six years respectively.
Kabir, who was from London, received a nine-months sentence. He was convicted of have accessing to a fraudulent document with a right intent. For Kabir, he was free of charges relating to obtaining an indefinite leave to remain by deception. Nosimot Mojisola Gbadamosi, who was from Bolton, was found guilty of fraud and deception and was sentenced to six years in prison.
According to the Chief Immigration Officer at the UK Home Office, Paul Moran, the Home Office will work hard to protect their borders, “We will continue to work relentlessly to protect our borders and dismantle criminal groups exploiting vulnerable individuals for profit.”, he said.
