Reports of strikes on sites belonging to the Syrian Army
According to Syrian reports, airstrikes targeted Syrian Army sites in the governorates of As-Suwayda and Daraa in southern Syria.
Residents in Erbil and Mosul, Iraq, also reported hearing fighter jets early Friday morning.
The explosions occurred as Israel promised to respond to Iran’s Saturday night drone and missile attack on Israel. The Iranian attack was in response to an alleged Israeli airstrike on a building near the Iranian embassy in Damascus, which killed Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a senior IRGC commander overseeing Iran’s operations in Syria and Lebanon.
Earlier this week, GlobalCurrent24.com reported that several missiles and drones were launched towards Israel. These missiles and drones were launched by Iran.
According to what was shared, Iran was only responding to the attack that affected their consulate when Israel launched their missiles. As at the time of the launch of the missiles towards Israel, the United States firmly stated that, they will intercept any drones and missiles they see.
However, the missile and drones were launched towards Israel, and according to the reports from the local authorities in Israel, almost 90% of the launched missiles and drones were intercepted.
Russia pledged to give their support to Iran, and alerted the United States not to intervene because, Iran was only responding to the attack their consulate faced from the missiles launched by Israel.
Hours after this, the Israel government pledged to respond to Iran. Since, several explosions have been heard, we assume that it is the response from Israel.
