Biden Accused of ‘Obvious Hypocrisy’
President Biden condemnation of the Israeli airstrike that killed seven food aid workers in Gaza accused of ‘Obvious Hypocrisy’.
Biden’s condemnation of the Israeli airstrike that killed seven food aid workers in Gaza earlier this week isn’t sitting well with some critics, who called the president’s reaction “obvious hypocrisy.”
“I am outraged and heartbroken by the deaths of seven humanitarian workers from World Central Kitchen, including one American, in Gaza yesterday,” Biden wrote in a statement. “They were providing food to hungry civilians in the middle of a war. They were brave and selfless. Their deaths are a tragedy.”
Biden’s comments on the incident quickly drew the ire of some individuals who blasted the president’s remarks as hypocritical (‘Obvious Hypocrisy), since the U.S. conducted a drone strike in August 2021 that killed 10 civilians in Kabul, Afghanistan. The strike happened just days after the Biden administration’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan led to the deaths of 13 U.S. service members when ISIS terrorists detonated a bomb at an entrance to the Kabul airport.
“There’s obvious hypocrisy there and lack of self-reflection,” Richard Goldberg, a senior adviser at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told Fox News Digital on Wednesday. “I think it reflects the president’s posture right now to be hypercritical of Israel whenever possible, as part of a sustained political warfare campaign against the Israeli government if there’s an opportunity to amplify that criticism in order to make his left wing happier.”

The doctor who left the meeting with Biden expressed dissatisfaction with the president’s position on the Israel-Hamas conflict. Biden convened a meeting with leaders from the Muslim American community at the White House on Tuesday.
Dr. Thaer Ahmad, a board member with MedGlobal, said Tuesday that he walked out of a meeting with President Biden at the White House to protest the administration’s actions on the Israel-Hamas war.
“I spoke first and I let him know that I am from a community that‘s reeling,” Ahmad told CNN’s Kaitlin Collins of his meeting with Biden. “We are grieving. Our hearts are broken for what‘s been taking place over the last six months. And the rhetoric that has been coming out of the Biden administration, that has been coming out of the White House, it‘s frustrated a lot of people, especially people who are Palestinian Americans, Muslim Americans, Arab Americans. We are not satisfied with what has taken place.” His decision can be considered as an “obvious hypocrisy.”
Ahmad said that he shared his concerns with Biden about the well-being of Gaza residents in the face of a possible invasion of Rafah by Israel.
During his conversation with CNN, Ahmad expressed his gratitude for having the opportunity to convey his concerns to the president. He emphasized the importance of respecting his community and the countless individuals who have suffered and lost their lives.
Ahmad felt compelled to leave the meeting as a symbolic gesture, intending to demonstrate to decision-makers the experience of being disregarded and unheard. When asked about President Biden’s reaction to his departure, Ahmad shared that the president acknowledged and understood his decision. Ahmad also raised the issue of the civilians in Rafah, a city in Gaza, expressing the urgent need for humanitarian aid and the prevention of a ground invasion.

He emphasized the collective efforts of humanitarian organizations and individuals who are tirelessly advocating for the safe distribution of essential supplies.
Ahmad said that he was the only “Palestinian American in that room” with the president.
The doctor also cited the World Central Kitchen workers who were killed in an Israeli airstrike.
“I‘m glad you mentioned the tragic loss of the World Central Kitchen workers who were a part of an approved route,” Ahmad said. “I mean, these are people who are coordinating and just trying to deliver food to hungry people, and they are assassinated in the process. There‘s so much wrong in Gaza.”
President Biden’s denouncement of the Israeli airstrike that resulted in the tragic deaths of seven food aid workers in Gaza earlier this week has garnered criticism from certain individuals, who have labeled President Biden response as “obvious hypocrisy.”
A White House official spoke about the meeting with Muslim community leaders in a statement shared with Fox News Digital.
“President Biden and Vice President Harris know this a deeply painful moment for many in the Muslim and Arab communities,” the official said. “President Biden made clear that he mourns the loss of every innocent life in this conflict. The President also expressed his commitment to continue working to secure an immediate ceasefire as part of a deal to free the hostages and significantly increase humanitarian aid into Gaza. The President and Vice President will continue to engage with Muslim and Arab American communities and listen to the voices of all impacted by this conflict.”
According to a source familiar with the meeting, Biden “listened respectfully, and continued to engage with participants about his work to secure an immediate cease-fire as part of a deal to free the hostages and significantly increase humanitarian aid into Gaza.”
